What a difference a year makes

I can't help but think how much has changed in a year. For Rob's last birthday, we had only been in Charlotte for a month and although I was still unemployed, but we braved a blizzard to go out to celebrate. We ate meat & drank caipirinhas until we were the last people in the restaurant.
This year was a little more lowkey but we had a great weekend celebrating papa Rob's birthday. The weather was beautiful, sunny & in the 60s-70s. We had dinner at Chima Brazilian Steakhouse, Rob's favorite restaurant (they even seated us at the same table we had for Rob's birthday dinner last year). We had ice cream cake (custom made, thank you Charlotte Ben & Jerry's)...and even Wallace got to enjoy a treat (a doggie cupcake from Divine Cupcakes) in honor of dad's birthday.

I'm feeling very blessed to have spent another year with my wonderful hubs and can't wait to see what kind of birthday celebration we have in store for us next year...a trip to Chima w/a booster seat for Squishy perhaps?
