OK, some of you may remember this post but I may have changed my thinking. I'm currently reading The Girls of Murder City (which I'm enjoying, and loving even more because my Kindle actually reads to me) and one of the characters is an Italian woman named Sabella (short for Isabella). I don't even care for the name Isabella, but for some reason every time I read (or Kindle reads outloud to me) the name, I find myself imaging Squishy as Sabella. It doesn't hurt that even though we're German, I have an affinity for Italian names (because let's face it, I can't bear to name my kid Hans or Greta).
Too bad papa Rob not only vetoes every.single.name I come up with, he refuses to name our baby after a woman convicted of murdering her husband. Go figure.
