Weekly Wednesday Update 27/40

How far along? 27 weeks - we're officially in the 3rd trimester!
Sleep? What sleep? My doctor called me in a prescription for Ambien, but I've been too nervous to take it so I'm still suffering
Best moment this week? It hasn't been a week of great moments so I think I'll pass on this one this week.
Movement: Squishy's getting more active & the movements are more forceful, so you can start to see him/her bumping me from the outside.
Food cravings: Sugar. Especially cereal.
Belly button in or out? Still in.
What I miss? Sleeping.
What I am looking forward to? My dad & stepmom come in to town every year on MLK weekend so it will be nice to see them.
Milestones: Squishy now weighs almost 2 pounds and is about 14 1/2 inches long with legs extended. He/she is sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing its eyes, and perhaps even sucking its fingers. With more brain tissue developing, Squishy's brain is very active now and, while the lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if Squishy was born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on.
What I'm nervous about: Handling my hormones at Dennis' funeral. I'm already a mess, but seeing my mom upset is going to make it 100x worse.
