Where do I begin

I'll start by saying I think this may have been our last roadtrip back to Ohio. Everything that could go wrong, did. First, Wallace decided he could not sit in the front seat. We tried to put him in the middle, but he wouldn't sit down & it was too tight for Anneliese, me & him to all ride comfortably. So we had to stop again, move all of the luggage from the back seat & put him there with his bed. You'd think he would be happy; he had the entire back of the SUV to stretch out but I swear he didn't lay down at all. The only time he wasn't standing was when he was trying to launch his ass into the front seat.

Then, NCDOT decided the holiday weekend was a great time to replace guardrails, which brought 3 lanes of highway to 1. As a result, traffic was crawling. We spent 5hrs on the road, but only got in 3hrs worth of driving.
Pitstop in West Virginia. We both share a hatred for that damn state.
Around midnight, we decided to stop & find a hotel. We ended up in a dump in West Virginia (as if there is anything else available) that only had smoking rooms left. The walls were paper thin & you could hear everything- highway traffic, neighbor's alarm clock at 5 a.m. We slept in the best with Fi, who slept fine but kept me awake with her constant farting.

The next day, we drove the rest of the way & after making lots of pit stops, & driving more than 12hrs (for a 8.5/9hr trip), we finally made it back to Ohio!

The only saving grace was Fi. She is a great traveler & spent most of the time snoozing away. Much better than her big brother!
