Catch 22

Anneliese's last week at school was taxing on everyone- me since I was trying to get adjusted to life back in the real world, papa Rob since he had to deal with me crying every night & every morning about leaving her, Fi since she wouldn't sleep more than 3-10 minute naps, and the teachers since I'm sure dealing with a napless baby is a treat.

I hoped she would get better at sleeping unswaddled in the crib; I figured it would mean she would have more energy to stay up later at night so I could see her. Well guess what, this week we got part of our wish granted.

Unfortunately, her awesome 2 hour naps seem to be taking place when we usually go pick her up for lunch. While I'm glad she's adjusting and sleeping well at school, it now means I get to spend a whopping 3 hours with her awake- 1 before I go to work in the morning and 2 after work at night. This amounts to 15 hours during the week. 15. Less than a month ago, I spent more time with her than that in one day. Oh, and even with her 4 hours of napping during the day she still is asleep by 7 or 8 each night.

WAKE UP! I want to see your smile, munchkin!

The moral of this story? I'm apparently screwed either way.
