If I had a list of things I wanted to do on my last week of maternity leave, spending 9 hours (which will probably end up being 18 with all the pit stops) in a car with a newborn & antsy dog would not be on it. But we'd prefer Fi not go to hell so she'll be baptized this weekend at the same church papa Rob was baptized & we have a lot of family & friends that are dying to get a whiff of that still-relatively-new-baby smell.
So, I've got 8 suitcases packed (babies require a lot of shit) & I'm hoping I didn't forget anything, but I'm sure I did. And considering Anneliese has slept in her swing since she was 4 days old, we will either come home with a crib sleeping baby or 2 exhausted parents.
Moral of the story? Pray for us. We're going to need all the help we can get.

Scarlett LOVES that smell! And you'll have 3 huge suitcases packed for Fi, and a small one for you and Papa Rob together. Good luck on the trip - hopefully she sleeps a lot and you guys can drive in peace.
