If you read this blog, you know how much we love Wallace & how I worried about his transition from only child to big brother. The day we brought Fi home from the hospital, Wallace jumped into the back seat of the car (I'm assuming he missed me after being away for 3 days) & sniffed the baby, but seemed rather uninterested in anything but her dirty diapers.
Fast forward a few sleepless nights and scream-filled days and we could tell Wallace was rather perturbed by the new addition and I think he was wondering when the little human was going to vacate the premise. (If you don't know, W has a pretty strict routine of breakfast at 7 a.m., dinner at 7 p.m., and he's in bed by 11. If we aren't in bed by then, he's quite a grump, and with a newborn it's rare that we are 1. in bed by 11 and 2. that we are staying in bed until breakfast.)
In general, he tries to avoid her. But today was a turning point (I hope) and not once, not twice, but THREE times I caught him hanging around her. Of course, I had to take pictures in case he mauls her one day & I have to show proof to CPS that he liked her at one point.

Either he's finally warming up to his little sister, or he's trying to get us to drop our guard so he can eat her.
Aww yes, I think he is warming up to her for sure. Just wait until he has Alli up there visiting in a few weeks, pulling his hair and squealing in his face... we'll give him a taste of waht he has to look forward to :)
