Nesting

Not me, but I think Wallace is! Now if you know W, you know he's a pretty human-oriented dog ie he is not independent. If you're sitting on the couch, he has to either lay down right next to you or sit on the floor touching your feet. If you're in the kitchen, he has to be right next to you (hello, he didn't get to be 50lbs on dog food alone). If you're in bed with him, he has to lay so some part of him is touching you. You get the idea, he's a velcro dog. The one place he draws the line-the bathtub/shower. Unless he's drinking it, Wallace hates water. But I think he knows something is up and now when I take my nightly bath (yes, in the last month I have used my bathtub more times than I have in my entire adult life), W lays right in front of the tub. He's even gone as far as to climb up on the step to peer into the water. I'm not quite sure what he's expecting to find, but I wouldn't be surprised if I come home from work one day to find that he's made me a birthing nest out of his bed and blankets.

  1. Aww how cute. Scarlett just brought us dead moles from the back yard for Alli's birthday present. I'm glad to hear W is prepping for Squishy's arrival!
