Diapers are expensive, especially when you consider that the kid is only going to be wearing one for 2 hours (or less) before the next changing. So I signed up for Amazon Mom, because you get free 2 day Amazon Prime shipping and save 15% off diapers and wipes. Sounds like a good deal, right? Well enroll in their "Subscribe & Save" program (like a mail order subscription where they send you diapers at an interval of your choosing) and you save another 15%. Sounds even better, right? Add on a 20% off coupon that I plucked out of a Parenting magazine in my OB's office and holy shit I damn near lost my mind.
So if you're like me and math isn't your strong suit, here's the break-down:
192 Pampers Sensitive: $50.42
After Amazon Mom discount: $44.79
After Subscribe & Save discount: $38.07
After coupon: $22.39
That's right, that's less than 12¢ a diaper (because apparently, moms not only give their kids ages in months until their 18 but they also refer to their diapers by the price per unit so I'm really doing to have to brush up on my arithmetic...or keep a calculator with me)! Shit, for 11.6¢ a piece I may start using them myself.
