Dear baby Fi,
Only 1 month has passed, but you're already a different baby than the last time I updated.
You're now 4 months old and the books are saying you will start cutting teeth soon. I've heard horror stories from friends so dad & I aren't looking forward to it but the way you're drooling, chewing on your burp cloths & shoving your entire fist in your mouth, I have a feeling teething is fast approaching.
This month you've become even more aware of your surroundings and I have a feeling we're in trouble when it comes to your love for watching TV. You'll even choose it over eating (which you wouldn't be able to tell since you're weighing in at 16lbs now). You would think after waking up in the morning, not eating for 12hrs, you would be starving but you'd much rather watch Matt Lauer than eat your breakfast.
You are a daddy's girl and you aren't ashamed to show it. Papa Rob lights up your life and I am most certainly second fiddle. As soon as your dad comes in the room, you break out into the biggest gummy grin. It just melts my heart to see you two together and I hope he has this affect on you for the rest of your lives.
You are such a happy baby. And you love to laugh. It's the goofiest sounding noise, it's throaty & sometimes when you really get going, you sound like you're choking. And it's not a a giggle as much as a HUH-HUH. Beavis & Butthead type laugh. Such a bizarre noise to come from you, but it makes me smile every time I hear it.
You're actually playing with toys now! What a relief, we spent all that money on toys and until now, you would have rather played with your hands.
And finally, I find myself loving you more every day. Life before you is a distant memory; most days I can't imagine what it was like without you. You are the light of my life, the apple of my eye, and all of those other motherhood cliches.
Love,
Your mama
Aww she's getting so big! We warned you that it goes by fast... and we weren't kidding. I'm so glad to see that Fi is coming into her own and is becoming more like a person and less like a blob. Before you know it, she'll be back-talking and stealing money from the dresser.
