Another first

Fi survived her natural disaster! Just when I was convinced it would be a hurricane (as Hurricane Irene is heading our way, likely to hit the Carolinas over the weekend), a 5.9 magnitude earthquake started rocking my office.

Of course, because I have impeccable timing, I was locked in my office pumping. I was convinced one of my coworkers was rocking against my door to mess with me. After 10+ seconds, I started to get a little aggravated. Then I heard people in the hall commenting on it being an earthquake. All I could think was "shit, I'll be damned if I'm going to stop in the middle of this." I'm glad I'm not a panicker, because I'm pretty sure everyone in the church didn't want me running through the halls hooked up to my pump, screaming that the sky was falling.

Oh, and what was my "I don't sleep at school" baby doing? Yeah, sleeping right through it...I bet she thought someone was rocking her!
