Whoo goes there?

A Squishy will, in less than 2 months! Until then, Wallace still thinks it's his room (he's especially fond of the rug).

So why did we pick this "theme" for our nursery? Owls have been associated with intelligence and wisdom, and Native Americans view them as protectors against harm and evil spirits. Plus, I saw this fabric and I just fell in love with it. The only problem? I couldn't find a similar owl bedding set that I loved at any of the baby stores. So, what's a resourceful mama to do? Have it made!...by someone else of course, thanks to Etsy. Come on, you know I'm not that resourceful!

It took 7 weeks, but it was so worth it. I love the bright colors & the fact that it has both pink & blue makes it perfect for whatever parts Squishy comes out with. And it doesn't hurt that since it's custom-made, I know Squishy has a one-of-a-kind nursery. (Not like he/she cares, but it means something to me.)

We aren't done w/the nursery (obviously), but stay tuned for more pictures once it's complete.
