Where were you 5 years ago? 1 year ago?

I read this question earlier and it got me thinking.
5 years ago, I was in college & working full-time in retail. I despised my job & couldn't wait to be done with school. And I'm sure I was giving papa Rob a hard time about not being engaged yet, since he promised it would happen during my last year of school. Our 6 year anniversary would be in just over 2 weeks and I was hopeful it would happen then, but little did I know, Rob & I would  finally be engaged in 6 weeks while on Spring Break in Myrtle Beach!

 1 year ago, we had just moved to Charlotte. I was still unemployed, the weather was much colder than I had anticipated, and since we didn't bring all of our furniture down yet we were sleeping in separate rooms (papa Rob on the double bed & me on the futon). I was so miserable, I often thought "I could just grab my stuff and go back to Ohio in the middle of the night, I'd practically be home before Rob would wake up and notice W & I were missing." Obviously, I didn't do that & stuck it out, but "the big move"was definitely not what I was expecting it would be.
Thankfully, things have improved since then and I no longer contemplate running away in the middle of the night...although you may want to ask me again in a few weeks when I have a screaming newborn and I'm running on 3 hours of sleep...
