Damn you, Verizon Wireless

I finally convinced papa Rob to let me get an iPhone. It only took 4 years and there may have been some bartering & I may have used the blog as an excuse (we don't have a video camera & the new 1080p HD video on the iPhone would come in handy for all 7 of you followers, right?). So as soon as he relented, I hopped on the interwebs & hit the submit button for my pre-order before he came to his senses & changed his mind.

Estimated ship date: October 21. I have been watching my calendar days tick down. I even bought a new case for it. I may have been trying to decide what I will call it (if you can't tell already, all Fi's toys have names, so why shouldn't my phone?).

And you know how they say nothing good happens on Mondays? It's true. Papa Rob opened an e-mail this morning as we drove to work that said my order was cancelled. Mothereffers. So I called CS, found out they couldn't even find a record of my preorder (even though I had 2 e-mails about it and both preorder and order confirmation numbers) & I'd have to replace the order. So good-bye October 21 ship date, hello not-getting-this-damn-phone-until-November. I knew I should've camped out in front of the Apple Store to get it the day it released.
