Weekly Wednesday Update 18/40
How far along? 18 weeks
Weight gain/loss: Yeah we're disregarding this section, weight gain is causing me to stress out & when I talked to the doctor last week she said she's happy with where I am so I'm not stepping on the scale anymore!
Sleep? I guess I should've been thankful for the 1 wake up per night, now I'm waking up at least twice, sometimes three times, to pee. And I wake up SO thirsty.
Best moment this week? Feeling like a normal person again (for the most part). Looks like all-day sickness is gone & energy levels are creeping back up.
Movement: I've felt a few little twitches this week & during our Psalm sing at staff meeting yesterday, I felt a little tap. I think it was Squishy's way of requesting that I stop signing.
Food cravings: Chick-fil-a Peppermint Chocolate Chip milkshakes. They're back for the holiday & every time I get one it reminds me of being home for Christmas.
Belly button in or out? Still in.
What I miss? Not feeling like I'm full after 3 bites of my meal.
What I am looking forward to? Our anatomy scan next Monday! Still not finding out the sex, but so excited to see if Squishy is growing into that ginormous head.
Milestones: Squishy's blood vessels are visible through the thin skin, and its ears are now in their final position. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his/her nerves, a process that will continue for a year after Squishy's born.
What I'm nervous about: Passing the time before our ultrasound next week, it's going by so slowly!
