Weekly Wednesday Update 9/10
How far along? 9 weeks
Weight gain/loss: As of my weigh-in last week, I lost 0.2lbs (WTF is going on in my body) so that brings our total weight gain to 4.8lbs.
Sleep? The nausea still seems to be really bad when I wake up in the middle of the night to pee & in the morning, so it's given me some anxiety about going to bed. I'm also sleeping much lighter so every time Wallace makes a noise (or starts licking himself in the middle of the night), he wakes me up. I did set up a bed for him at the foot of our bed, and I'm feeling so guilty about kicking him out of our bed!
Best moment this week? Not Squishy related, but we had a great time spending Labor Day weekend with friends & family that came to visit
Movement: Unless you count gas, none.
Food cravings: None. I think my food repulsions list would be much longer (peanut butter, chicken, yogurt)
Belly button in or out? In, for awhile I hope. But at the rate this weight gain is going, I have my doubts.
What I miss? Not feeling like I'm going to puke all day and night, sleeping soundly & not having the acne-ridden face of a teenager.
What I am looking forward to? Not our baby related, but we're heading to Charleston for Brittany's baby shower this weekend.
Milestones: Squishy is officially a fetus this week! Squishy's heart finishes dividing into four chambers, and the valves start to form — as do his/her tiny teeth. The embryonic "tail" is completely gone.
What I'm nervous about: It's still a ways off, but our Nuchal Translucency test & bloodwork is 2 weeks. I'm excited to see how much Squishy (should) look like a real baby & not a Sour Patch Kid, but still nervous since until I know that everything is developing as it should.
