Weekly Wedneday Update 12/40

How far along? 12 weeks
Weight gain/loss: As of my weigh-in last week, I gained another lb so that brings our total weight gain to 9.2lbs...and thank you Babycenter for throwing it in my face that most women only gain 2-5lbs in the first trimester. I guess I've always been an overachiever.
Sleep? Whoever told me that as you get closer to the 2nd trimester, you stop peeing so much was a LIAR! I'm now waking up at least 2, sometimes 3, times during the night to go. And nightmares about this project at work have been making it suck even harder.
Best moment this week? Getting to hear Squishy's heartbeat! Also, being told that from our NT bloodwork, our risk of Downs is less than 1:10,000 (which means there is basically as little risk as you can possibly have).
Movement: Unless you count gas, none.
Food cravings: The all day nausea is back in full force. I'm not craving much but when I am, it's the worst food I could eat (Red Robin Bonzai burger, Bojangles mac & cheese).
Belly button in or out? In, for awhile I hope. But at the rate this weight gain is going, I have my doubts.
What I miss? Not feeling like I'm going to puke all day and night, sleeping soundly for a full 8 hours, & not having the acne-ridden face of a teenager.
What I am looking forward to? Getting to the 2nd trimester & hopefully having some relief from the nausea, frequent urination, acne, & exhaustion. I haven't painted my nails in 3wks!
Milestones: Squishy's fingers will soon begin to open and close, his/her toes will curl, eye muscles will clench, and the mouth will make sucking movements. His/her face looks unquestionably human: eyes have moved from the sides to the front of his head, and the ears are right where they should be.
What I'm nervous about: Now that our NT scan is over, knowing we won't see Squishy until Nov 15 is little nerve-racking.I'll also be telling my last boss about the baby next wk so I'm a little anxious about that.

And since this is officially a baby belly & not just bloat, we started our belly pictures this week!

Of course, Wallace had to get in on the action. We tried to get his belly in the picture, but let's just say he's in his 4th trimester.
